			<title>Best Practices</title>

Computer Systems are complex and technologies change fast. Developing
solid and well-designed Software is difficult and a huge challenge.

Developers with years of experience have the advantage over younger
colleagues for having made many mistakes over the time. Mistakes they
used to learn and write better applications next time.

Clearly, experience is the best teacher. No one can &quot;teach&quot;
unexperienced developers experience. But good and bad decisions can be
abstracted to provide so called &quot;Best Practices&quot;.

			<title>Repairing Busted DC Power Jack</title>
			<link>http://newfrontierscompsoln.com/jml_resources/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=9&amp;Itemid=2</link>
			<description>Repairing failed DC power
jack on my Dell Inspiron 700M was a quick fix. Diagnosing the problem was easy. The power cord constantly falls off and the laptop randomly shuts down without any
warning.
To
fix my laptop, it
requires experience with soldering and repairing computers. First of all, my laptop has to be
disassembled to remove the motherboard.

			<title>Micro Inverters for Solar Energy</title>
			<link>http://newfrontierscompsoln.com/jml_resources/index.php?option=com_content&amp;task=view&amp;id=8&amp;Itemid=2</link>
			<description>MICRO INVERTERS FOR SOLAR ENERGY:
WORKING INDEPENDENTLY, GENERATING POWER COLLECTIVELY

There’s a game-changing solar technology out there. It’s a change in how electricity from solar photovoltaics is put to work. It’s a fundamental change in inverters, the devices that convert direct current (DC) electricity generated by solar modules to alternating current (AC) that’s used on the power grid and thus in your home.

The game-changing technology, the micro-inverter, is an inverter that’s attached to each solar module as opposed to a large single inverter for an entire solar electric system. This fundamental change could make it significantly easier to design, build, and monitor solar systems, particularly smaller systems for homes and businesses.

Why my existence is bad for the environment
Posted
by Michelle Meyers

Tuesday was a really bad day for my carbon footprint.
First I learned that my divorce is heating up the planet. A Michigan State University study
concluded that divorced couples use up more space in their respective
homes, resulting in 38 million more rooms around the globe to light,
heat, and cool.

Farewell Vista, Hello XP
Jon L. Jacobi, Wednesday,

How to make the switch back and
deal with the
gnarly problem of transferring your Vista e-mail, contacts, and user
data back to the old standby operating system.
After exploring
Windows Vista for about six months on my test-bed PC, I
decided two
months ago that, along with upgrading the motherboard and CPU in my
main work machine, I'd &quot;upgrade&quot; to Microsoft's latest operating system.
